In a recent interview, Carolina Liar recounted the song’s creation process with palpable excitement: “Creating ‘Smile’ truly reflects my emotions. The name Carolina Liar itself signifies the unexpected twists in my journey, and this song is another chapter of that adventure. Within just 72 hours, we recorded the track in a renowned Sunset Strip studio. We then set off on a road trip from Hollywood to Las Vegas, filming the music video in a quirky vintage car that broke down in the desert. Despite the challenges, we captured footage just in time for a Friday night show. We enjoyed dancing through two of Martin’s concerts and wrapped up the whirlwind with Martin and Zedd at Omnia. Honestly, those three days could have been a movie, and every time I hear the song, it brings a smile to my face because of those incredible memories.”
