David Guetta & OneRepublic reveal emotive acoustic version of ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’

Global pop superstar David Guetta and Grammy-nominated OneRepublic have unveiled an acoustic rendition of their smash-hit single, ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’, on June 28th.

This intimate version of the dance-pop original shifts the spotlight from the dancefloor, incorporating gentle acoustic guitar and sweeping cello strings to create a stripped-back, emotive interpretation.

‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’ has soared to success since its April release. By June, it had garnered 250 million global streams, including 21 million in the UK, and broke into Spotify’s Global Chart at #33. The track also topped European airplay charts and hit #1 on US Dance Radio, while achieving a Top 10 position in the Belgian Official Charts.

Shortly after the single’s release, fans received a music video in late April. This video, which has amassed 28 million views, captures the electrifying moment when Guetta and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder premiered the song live at Ultra Music Festival to a crowd of 60,000 festival-goers.
