Esteemed French record producer Bob Sinclar has gifted us a colourful new house anthem, ‘Cruel Summer (Again)’, reworking a 1980s classic in the process.
Bob Sinclar has provided his contemporary take on Bananarama’s 1983 release, transforming it in a house anthem of the same name, ‘Cruel Summer (Again)’. Landing on Altra Moda Music, this infectious new track arrives with all the energy and vigour of a surefire festival anthem for its bright melodic arrangements and intense bass groove.
Utilising the original vocals from the iconic English pop group’s chart hit, this record will resonate with the masses for its familiarity. Weaving in scintillating synths stabs and fluid rap cuts, its fresh and perfectly poised for him and his DJ peers to champion this summer.
The Frenchman’s second original production of the year, it follows up his immaculate collaboration with Michael Ekow, ‘Take It Easy on Me’. Expect to hear both of these records on heavy rotation in his upcoming sets, with performances in London, France, Italy and Spain on the horizon as the warmer months close in.
In the meantime, be sure to stream the latest Bob Sinclar offering for yourselves below as we gear up for another busy festival season!
